Job Description

The Account Development Representative at Samsara is responsible for generating sales opportunities through outbound outreach, building pipelines, and fostering relationships with prospects to support the company's IoT and SaaS solutions for physical operations industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source pipelines for EMEA business through outbound outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn
  • Participate in trade shows and events to represent the Samsara brand and connect with prospects
  • Become a product expert and learn the Samsara sales approach
  • Maintain detailed records of interactions with prospects in CRM Salesforce
  • Drive sales pipeline growth by engaging with potential customers
  • Support account development through high-volume outbound and inbound calls
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and other sales team members to support sales efforts
  • Engage in ongoing training to develop sales skills and product knowledge

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of professional experience, ideally in customer facing roles
  • 6-12 months of sales experience as a minimum
  • Highly motivated and committed, with strong desire to work in target driven sales
  • Proven track record of consistent over achievement of targets and expectations of previous roles
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Curious and able to ask insightful questions
  • A champion of a Growth Mindset
  • Highly proficient in English and fluent in German
  • Willingness to collaborate and influence in a win as a team environment
  • Experience in closing-sales roles (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Proven track record of achievements beyond work e.g. academics, sports, charity (preferred but not mandatory)
