Job Description
The Account Development Representative at Samsara is responsible for generating leads, building demand, and supporting the company's go-to-market strategy through outbound sales efforts, with opportunities for career growth in SaaS sales and enterprise technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Hunt for leads and map enterprise accounts to build demand for Samsara's products
- Engage in high-volume cold calling to prospective customers
- Develop an understanding of various industries and their operations
- Build rapport and communicate effectively with potential clients to generate interest
- Collaborate with sales team members and top-tier executives to support sales strategies
Requirements
- High level of interest in the IoT space
- Excitement around growing a sales career
- Comfortability in a dynamic, customer facing environment
- Previous cold calling experience
- Motivation to be in a goal-oriented, quota-carrying role
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate with a high degree of clarity and professionalism in English both verbally and in writing to build rapport and effectively resolve inquiries for our US customer base
- Average of 80 calls to prospective customers daily
- Innate curiosity in how businesses work, with the ability to learn about different industries such as waste management and food distribution centers
- Resilience to handle rejection and continue making calls
- Minimum requirements include a high level of interest in the IoT space, excitement around growing a sales career, comfortability in a dynamic, customer facing environment, previous cold calling experience, motivation to be in a goal-oriented, quota-carrying role, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate with a high degree of clarity and professionalism in English both verbally and in writing
