Job Description
A Project Manager II at RES leads complex ecological restoration projects from planning to completion, managing multidisciplinary teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and making a tangible environmental impact through sustainable restoration efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead ecological restoration projects from planning through construction close-out
- Develop project schedules, manage budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance
- Coordinate and oversee multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders
- Review technical documents, prepare financial reports, and communicate project updates
- Inspect active sites, coordinate subcontractors, and conduct team check-ins in the field
- Track project performance using management tools and drive results
- Mitigate project risks and resolve challenges independently
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in applied sciences, environmental engineering, construction management, or a related field or equivalent experience
- At least 6 years of experience in engineering, construction, or environmental project work
- 3 years of direct project management experience, including ownership of scope, schedule, and budget
- Proficiency with project management tools, such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent
- Knowledge of environmental permitting and compliance
- Experience managing subcontractors, consultants, and vendors
- Ability to lead complex projects independently, with limited supervision
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills
- Comfort working in field settings, construction zones, and regulatory environments
