Job Description

The role involves leading land development projects and business growth initiatives in the Texas region, managing a team of engineers, and building client relationships within the civil engineering and land development industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of civil engineers and support staff.
  • Oversee planning, design, and execution of land development projects, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline adherence.
  • Develop and implement regional strategies to drive growth and profitability in land development.
  • Create and execute business development plans to expand market presence and secure new projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proposals, presentations, and negotiations.
  • Represent the company at industry events to enhance visibility and reputation.
  • Ensure successful delivery of land development projects from inception to completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) license preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in civil engineering, focusing on land development
  • Proven track record in business development and client relationship management
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop and execute long-term strategic plans
  • Experience overseeing the planning, design, and execution of land development projects, ensuring adherence to quality, budget, and timeline requirements
  • Experience developing and implementing regional strategies to drive growth and profitability in the land development market
  • Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners
  • Experience identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including preparing proposals, presentations, and negotiations
  • Experience ensuring the successful delivery of land development projects from inception to completion, coordinating with internal and external teams
  • Ability to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages professional growth and development
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of civil engineers and support staff
