Job Description
The role involves leading land development projects and business growth initiatives in the Texas region, managing a team of engineers, and building client relationships within the civil engineering and land development industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of civil engineers and support staff.
- Oversee planning, design, and execution of land development projects, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline adherence.
- Develop and implement regional strategies to drive growth and profitability in land development.
- Create and execute business development plans to expand market presence and secure new projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proposals, presentations, and negotiations.
- Represent the company at industry events to enhance visibility and reputation.
- Ensure successful delivery of land development projects from inception to completion.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) license preferred
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in civil engineering, focusing on land development
- Proven track record in business development and client relationship management
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to develop and execute long-term strategic plans
- Experience overseeing the planning, design, and execution of land development projects, ensuring adherence to quality, budget, and timeline requirements
- Experience developing and implementing regional strategies to drive growth and profitability in the land development market
- Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners
- Experience identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including preparing proposals, presentations, and negotiations
- Experience ensuring the successful delivery of land development projects from inception to completion, coordinating with internal and external teams
- Ability to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages professional growth and development
- Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of civil engineers and support staff
