A Construction Laborer at RES performs hands-on outdoor restoration tasks such as site preparation, erosion control, planting, and landscaping to help restore ecosystems and protect natural resources, working as part of a team on active environmental projects.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with site preparation, landscaping, and erosion control measures on restoration sites
Operate and maintain tools and equipment such as power tools, landscape equipment, and safety gear
Implement erosion and sediment control practices following detailed specifications
Set up and maintain traffic control and water dewatering systems
Perform manual labor tasks including planting, seeding, mulching, and invasive species removal
Conduct safety checks on tools and equipment before use
Clean and store tools and equipment at the end of each day
Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Capable of walking over uneven surfaces, climbing on construction equipment, and navigating hills.
Comfortable working outdoors and performing tasks at ground level.
Ability to operate and maintain various tools and equipment, including power tools like drills and circular saws, and landscape equipment like chainsaws and weed eaters.
Ability to interpret and follow detailed work specifications.
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites.
High school diploma or GED.
