Job Description
The Strategic Finance Manager at Raptor Maps is an individual contributor role partnering with the CFO to lead strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and special projects that drive company growth and industry impact in the solar energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the CFO on strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and special projects
- Query data and build financial models to support decision-making
- Prepare board materials and financial reports
- Drive cross-functional projects from start to finish
- Focus on high-leverage, nonrecurring work to impact company growth and industry transformation
Requirements
- Partner directly with the CFO on strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and special projects related to finance.
- Spend approximately 75% of your time on high-leverage, nonrecurring work, and 25% on recurring financial activities.
- Be adaptable, proactive, and execution-oriented in your approach to work.
- Be comfortable querying data, building financial models, preparing board materials, and driving cross-functional projects from start to finish.
- Possess strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with clarity and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Have the aspiration to grow into a future CFO, VP of Finance, or other strategic leadership roles.
- Demonstrate the ability to gain exposure to executive decision-making and cross-functional leaders while driving initiatives that impact company growth and industry transformation.
- Exhibit complete ownership and accountability over your role and success in the team.
- Maintain transparency into the operations of the rest of the company and communicate honestly and effectively.
- Possess a sense of urgency, working in a fast-paced industry to tackle a global problem and build a significant company.
- Be willing to work remotely within the lower 48 states unless otherwise specified for the role.
- Have a strong understanding of financial data analysis, financial modeling, and strategic financial planning.
- Possess experience or skills relevant to operational improvements and special projects in a finance context.
