The Territory Systems Engineer is a technical pre-sales role responsible for supporting sales efforts by providing technical expertise, coaching partners, validating solutions, and facilitating technical enablement to drive growth and adoption of Pure Storage solutions within a designated territory.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary technical contact alongside the TAE in customer engagements, guiding discussions and showcasing solutions.
Guide and activate Partner Systems Engineers through coaching and resource provision to enable effective selling and scaling.
Review and validate sizing, quotes, and technical architectures to ensure alignment with customer needs and product capabilities.
Increase awareness and usage of sales and technical tools within the partner ecosystem.
Organize and coordinate technical resources for partner training, bootcamps, and workshops to upskill channel partners.
Act as a technical escalation point, linking partners to virtual resources or escalating complex inquiries to specialized teams.
Build and maintain strong relationships with TAE and Channel Partners to support technical needs and drive sales.
Requirements
Professional B2B experience in a technical support, customer-facing, or pre-sales role, demonstrating a solid understanding of technology sales processes.
Familiarity with the enterprise storage market, data management, and current emerging IT infrastructure architectures is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success working closely with a sales counterpart like a Territory Account Executive (TAE) and channel partners to achieve shared business and technical objectives.
A high degree of self-motivation, initiative, and the drive to quickly learn complex technical concepts and apply them effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical value to diverse audiences, from partner Systems Engineers (SEs) to business decision-makers.
Fluency in Swiss German, English, and ideally French.
Excellent organizational and time management skills necessary to juggle multiple partner engagements, technical validations, and training support activities in a dynamic territory.
