Job Description
The role involves providing technical consultation, designing, implementing, and delivering data storage solutions such as replication, clustering, and data migrations, primarily in cloud and on-premises environments, to support sales and customer needs within a collaborative team setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical consultation and support for replication, clustering, cloud offerings, and data migrations to customers and sales teams.
- Design, develop, and deliver replication, clustering, and migration solutions for customers.
- Support pre-sales activities, including customer evaluations and proof of concepts.
- Assist in planning and directing projects to support sales efforts and address customer needs.
- Evaluate partner proposals for migration services to ensure quality and value.
- Develop scripts to automate processes related to storage integration, replication, clustering, cloud, and data migrations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scope and sell professional services solutions.
- Advise on engineering strategies for replication, clustering, and data migrations to meet disaster recovery and business continuity requirements.
Requirements
- Strong technical competencies in the field of replication, clustering, cloud offerings, and data migrations.
- Significant experience across different replication technologies, clustering, cloud, and data migration solutions.
- Experience in delivering large scale and complex projects utilizing replication, clustering, cloud, and data migration offerings.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Shell, PowerShell, Visual Basic, or Python to enable automation of processes.
- Experience with Flash Array storage systems.
- Experience with Active Cluster or similar clustering solutions.
- Experience with Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, and other cloud-based offerings.
- Experience with data center migrations and consolidations, including tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, high-level network designs, and infrastructure including Ethernet, TCP/IP, and Local Area Networking.
- Experience with Cirrus Data Solutions Appliance or similar appliance-based solutions for migrating block data.
- Experience with virtualization tools such as Cisco, Microsoft VMWare, Hyper-V, and VMWare ESX/vRA SRM.
- Proven experience with data center migration implementations for block and file data.
- Experience with multi-vendor server and storage platforms and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of Windows, AIX, and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with disaster recovery, replication, and backup technologies such as Zerto, Veeam, Rubrik, Veritas, and NBU.
- Ability to contribute to technical and architecture solutions, including data migration solutions for RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Superior knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN, UNIX OS, NFS file systems, and UNIX distributed network environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in technical specifications required to sell Pure products and services.
- Experience with networking infrastructure such as Cisco Nexus, ACI, Brocade, and security firewalls.
- Knowledge of logical volume management (LVM) and other data migration tools such as StorageX, Dobi, Open Replicator.
- Experience with disaster recovery, replication, and backup technologies including Zerto, Veeam, Rubrik, Veritas, and NBU.
- Ability to support both pre-sales and post-sales implementation and delivery functions.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product Marketing, Business Development, Services, and Engineering.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages such as Arabic is a benefit.
- On-site work experience as indicated by LI-ONSITE.
