Job Description
This role involves managing and operating cloud-based SaaS GIS capabilities, focusing on deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting real-time big data analytics and microservices within a DevOps environment, primarily using Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and scripting to ensure high availability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate SaaS capabilities across multiple cloud regions in collaboration with DevOps engineers
- Design, implement, and utilize monitoring systems to ensure SaaS product health
- Manage infrastructure for ArcGIS Velocity, respond to alerts, and troubleshoot issues
- Design and deploy containerized micro-service components for SaaS offerings
- Participate in technical spike efforts to introduce innovative features
- Troubleshoot system incidents and perform root cause analysis
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing Kubernetes AKS, EKS, logging and monitoring tools such as ELK and Prometheus, and container technologies like Docker.
- Ability to write scripts to deploy infrastructure and applications using Bash, Python, Golang, and Terraform.
- Expert level understanding and experience with cloud computing platforms Microsoft Azure or Amazon EC2.
- Ability to work with continuous integration and delivery best practices.
- Working knowledge of a source control and issue management system, preferably GitHub.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, GIS, or information systems.
