Job Description

The Sales Manager will lead business development efforts for Rondo's innovative heat battery technology, building customer relationships, developing project pipelines, and structuring turnkey industrial energy solutions to support decarbonization and renewable energy integration in the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and originate new sales prospects and manage existing key accounts.
  • Support project development from initial contact to definitive agreement, including project scope and business relationships.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders such as renewable developers, utilities, EPCs, and finance teams to structure projects and develop solutions.
  • Create and implement processes for project deal development, including document tracking and risk review.
  • Identify target customer segments, market value propositions, and product strategies.
  • Qualify potential customers based on product fit, energy markets, and transaction ability.
  • Manage customer relationships, understand decision-making processes, and facilitate sales closure.
  • Conduct meetings, presentations, and participate in industry events to promote solutions.
  • Maintain CRM data, forecast project opportunities, and advance deal stages.
  • Prepare technical and financial analyses, customer presentations, and draft commercial agreements such as MOUs and LOIs.

Requirements

  • A degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering; an MBA or Master’s degree in the Energy Sector is highly desirable.
  • At least 5 years of experience with industrial sector business development and large capital equipment sales.
  • Proven track record in lead creation, customer relationship nurturing through execution, and repeat sales, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in structuring and negotiating commercial contracts to find deal solutions that meet the needs of both the customer and the company.
  • Familiarity with industrial sector energy procurement and energy-as-a-service business models.
  • Deep knowledge of energy sectors in Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Qatar, with familiarity of those in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including project financing modeling and cash flow analysis.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills for creating clear, high-quality professional presentations.
  • Exceptional written communication skills for preparing techno-economic analyses and documentation in English.
  • Applicants must be entitled to work in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, or Riyadh, as the role is remote but requires legal work authorization in these locations.
  • The ability to develop existing pipeline and originate new prospects, own key accounts, and maintain relationships through construction into operation.
  • The ability to identify how Heat Batteries create value for stakeholders to develop project scope and business relationships necessary to deliver turnkey project solutions for industrial facilities.
  • The ability to work closely with renewable developers, electric utilities, wholesale electricity market parties, EPCs, application engineering teams, and project finance teams to structure projects and iterate on proposed solutions.
  • The ability to support the development and implementation of processes for project deal development, including project information standards, document tracking, and risk review.
  • The ability to qualify potential customers for product fit, understand heating load, energy markets, renewables, and evaluate the ability to transact.
  • The ability to manage customer relationships, understand customer decision-making processes, and navigate the path to closed sales.
  • The ability to conduct virtual and in-person meetings with potential customers and project partners, including presenting at conferences, webinars, and trade associations.
  • The ability to prepare customer presentation materials, perform preliminary technical and project financial analysis independently, and collaborate with application engineering and project finance teams.
  • The ability to identify key commercial terms to compose MOUs, LOIs, and term sheets to support the path to definitive agreements.
