A Senior Technical Marketing Manager responsible for developing technical content, competitive strategy, and thought leadership in Kubernetes data management, engaging with technical communities, and enabling cross-functional go-to-market efforts within a cloud-native environment.
Key Responsibilities
Create and lead the development of high-impact technical content such as white papers, demos, and blogs tailored for various audiences.
Own and drive the competitive strategy through technical benchmarking, creating positioning guides, battlecards, and communicating insights internally.
Secure and execute high-profile speaking engagements and mentor teams on technical positioning and thought leadership.
Serve as the subject matter expert on Portworx products, use cases, and the competitive landscape to inform messaging and differentiation.
Align cross-functional teams on go-to-market strategies and develop technical training and enablement materials for sales and marketing teams.
Requirements
Six (6) years of experience in Technical Marketing, Product Marketing, Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architect, or an equivalent role within the Kubernetes or Cloud-Native ecosystem.
Established authority as an engaging speaker and authoritative technical writer, capable of transforming complex technical data into clear, compelling, and market-ready narratives.
Understanding of platform engineering, developer experience best practices, and modern cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, open-source data services, data protection, and virtualization.
In-depth knowledge of key audiences including Platform Engineers, DevOps, Cloud Architects, SREs, IT infrastructure managers, and IT Decision Makers.
Ability to stay current with Kubernetes, container storage, AI, and cloud-native trends to ensure Portworx content and demos remain relevant.
Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external audiences.
Demonstrated growth mindset and a commitment to setting the standard for best-in-class technical marketing execution.
Ability to work onsite at the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
