Job Description
The role involves supporting the sales process by providing technical expertise in storage solutions, developing tailored customer proposals, and demonstrating the value of Pure Storage products to drive revenue and customer success.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand customer business needs and tailor storage solutions accordingly
- Collaborate with sales and technical teams to create a seamless customer experience
- Present and demonstrate storage products and architectures to clients
- Translate customer requirements into innovative technical solutions
- Identify and pursue new opportunities for product interoperability and performance testing
- Support the creation of technical marketing materials and thought leadership content
- Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging storage architectures
- Support the sales process through technical evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations
Requirements
- Pre-sales experience is required with 5 or more years of relevant experience in technology, design, and communications.
- Experience supporting the sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts is preferred.
- Deep understanding of the architecture, design, and implementation of multi-tiered client-server and web-based computing solutions.
- Must have a familiarity with modern web architecture such as the LAMP stack, scale-out vs scale-up architectures, AWS well-architected framework, and microservices architecture.
- Prior experience in targeting new prospects and converting them into clients.
- Experience contributing significant portions and/or leading responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Superior knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN.
- Previous experience with Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environments.
- Experience with installation and configuration of distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory subsystems, storage subsystems architecture, shared memory architectures, cache architectures, and windowing systems.
- Strong knowledge of digital transformation to Cloud Native architecture, On-Premises, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers.
- Knowledge of VMware, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and microservices architectures like k8s is a plus.
- Curiosity and passion for technology, with the ability to explain and demonstrate new technology platforms and concepts to customers.
- Familiarity with storage-intensive applications and their requirements such as structured databases like SQL and Oracle is highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
