This role involves managing product configuration lifecycles, optimizing sales enablement through complex SKU and BOM configuration, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure data integrity and system efficiency within a fast-paced, innovative tech environment.
Key Responsibilities
Own the Product Configuration Lifecycle from NPI to EOL, ensuring data integrity and seamless transitions
Configure complex SKUs and hardware/software BOMs in the CPQ platform to enable accurate sales quoting
Serve as SME for SKU-related inquiries, collaborating with IT, Sales, and Operations to design solutions
Oversee data migration of SKUs from Agile to ERP and SFDC, including pricing setup and configuration testing
Collaborate with BI teams to identify and implement system improvements and automation for data management
Requirements
Experience owning the Product Configuration Lifecycle, including creation, maintenance, and strategic evolution of all Marketing SKUs and Bills of Material (BOMs) from initial New Product Introduction (NPI) through End-of-Life (EOL), ensuring seamless transitions and data integrity across all systems.
Ability to configure complex SKUs and their respective hardware and software BOMs in a Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) platform, optimizing for various manufacturing strategies such as CTO and PTO to enable accurate and efficient product quoting by the sales force and partners.
Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all SKU-related inquiries, with experience facilitating communication and collaboration with IT, Sales, and Operations teams to design solutions aligned with Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and business processes.
Experience overseeing data migration of SKUs from Agile to ERP and Salesforce (SFDC) environments, including setting sales prices, testing configurations, troubleshooting, and debugging to maintain data quality and system stability.
Proactive collaboration with Business Intelligence (BI) teams to identify and implement system improvements and automation that enhance operational efficiency and the quality of standard product data management processes.
Deep understanding of the Quote-to-Invoice (Q2I) process, including configuration rules, sales orders, pricing models, product structures, and sales channel implications.
Hands-on experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar CPQ and ERP systems for BOM management, NPI releases, and configuring complex product structures.
Practical work experience in an Agile environment (Scrum or Kanban), including owning, grooming, and managing the testing and release of product configurations as part of development sprint cycles.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with the proven ability to influence and drive results across all organizational levels, including staff to VP.
Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment by independently setting priorities, driving outcomes, and adapting to shifting business needs and Time-To-Market sensitivities.
Willingness to work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
