The Manufacturing Quality Engineer role involves overseeing quality assurance and continuous improvement processes in the production of flash storage technology, collaborating with global partners, automating data analysis, and supporting product launches to ensure product reliability and manufacturing excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end quality oversight and continuous improvement across manufacturing processes from PCBA SMT to final server-level production.
Collaborate with global contract manufacturers and partners to define quality assurance procedures, conduct supplier audits, and perform root cause analysis.
Automate manufacturing data analysis and QA tasks using scripting (primarily Python) to create real-time quality dashboards and alerts.
Validate new product hardware, guide failure analysis during product launches, and ensure high-quality, scalable product introductions.
Requirements
Deep expertise in PCBA SMT, mechanical assembly, or server-level manufacturing, with a strong understanding of components like PCBs, PSUs, and high-density flash drive assemblies.
Proficiency in supplier quality methods, including 8D, 5 Whys, and FMEA, and a solid understanding of IPC standards and ISO compliance.
A proven ability to analyze complex manufacturing data and quality KPIs to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
Strong cross-functional communication, documentation, and presentation skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external partners.
Ability to work in an in-office environment at the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
