Job Description
This role involves inside sales activities focused on engaging with corporate clients and channel partners to drive sales of storage solutions, utilizing strategic sales techniques, managing pipelines, and creating proposals to meet sales targets in a dynamic tech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and qualify leads from marketing sources
- Create and present proposals, including product and solution presentations
- Conduct POC (proof of concept) demonstrations as needed
- Develop and deliver accurate estimates and quotations
- Achieve sales targets and quotas within an inside sales environment
- Build and maintain relationships with channel partners to close deals
- Manage sales pipeline and improve conversion rates
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities and decision-makers
- Collaborate with partners on account and sales strategies
- Utilize Business Value Selling (BVS) techniques to advance negotiations and close sales
Requirements
- Experience in achieving stable sales quotas and results in the storage industry.
- Proven success in sales through collaboration with channel partners.
- Experience in building relationships with sales resources and guiding negotiations to closure.
- Ability to create and present proposals, including web presentations of products and solutions, and calculate Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
- Experience in preparing and presenting estimates and proposals, and conducting Proof of Concept (POC) as needed.
- Track record of consistently achieving sales targets and quotas in an inside sales environment.
- Ability to utilize sales resources and build relationships with channel partners to close deals and generate revenue.
- Experience in pipeline management and improving conversion rates.
- High activity levels to support high-volume sales operations.
- Ability to provide accurate sales forecasts and coordinate across multiple channels.
- Experience in creating proposals aligned with customer business goals and emphasizing value.
- Experience in developing account strategies on a quarterly and annual basis and collaborating with partners on joint sales efforts.
- Proven success in approaching decision-makers and acquiring new business opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for business relationship building.
- Understanding or experience with channel sales models.
- Completion of Business Value Selling (BVS) or related B2B sales training.
- Ability to act autonomously and deliver results.
- Passion for discovering new opportunities and closing deals.
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to manage various sales activities efficiently and adapt priorities flexibly.
- Interest in technology and a proactive attitude toward driving change.
- Proficiency in Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office applications.
- 2 to 4 years of B2B technology sales experience.
- Strong competitive drive and work ethic.
- Sense of responsibility as a representative of the company.
- Willingness to work in large corporate or startup environments.
- Residence in a region accessible to the Tokyo office.
- Willingness to work in an open office team environment.
