A Hardware Engineer responsible for designing, validating, and qualifying enterprise data storage hardware, including developing testing processes, troubleshooting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring innovative storage solutions from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities
Design, validate, and qualify storage subsystems throughout the hardware development lifecycle
Define, implement, and automate hardware validation and qualification tests
Perform failure analysis and root cause analysis in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Develop and execute server stress tests for CPU subsystems and peripherals
Ensure quality, reliability, and performance of hardware products from concept to production
Requirements
A strong background in hardware design, including knowledge of x86 architectures and interfaces.
Proven ability to qualify x86 hardware at the electrical, signal integrity, protocol, and functional levels.
Experience with Linux operating systems.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and BASH.
Experience with high-speed oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, and other lab equipment to capture and analyze data.
Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
Willingness to work onsite at the Santa Clara, CA office in accordance with company policies.
