The role involves leading and managing a sales team in the Georgia region, driving business growth through strategic sales management, team development, and building strong relationships with partners and clients in the data storage industry.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and inspire a team of Enterprise Account Executives and ensure alignment with company values
Recruit, develop, and manage the performance of sales team members
Manage territory planning, forecasting, and pipeline development to meet sales goals
Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners and key stakeholders
Drive sales activities, including customer calls, presentations, and closing deals
Achieve annual bookings, new logo acquisition, and quota attainment
Analyze pipeline and activity metrics to ensure sales targets are met
Coordinate resources and execute complex sales strategies
Requirements
A minimum of 8 years of successful field sales management experience in storage or core Information Technology infrastructure in a highly competitive environment.
Experience selling to IT departments and IT management is required.
Proven track record of recruitment and associate development.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively articulate Pure Storage's value.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and use good judgment in identifying root causes and problem solving.
Ability to coordinate Pure Storage resources to execute a complex sales strategy.
Experience with CRM and other online tools.
Ability to build and lead a team of focused account executives, including recruiting, developing, and managing performance.
Experience delivering business results including annual bookings goals, new logo production, and ensuring account executives participate at or above quota.
Ability to establish and maintain strong business relationships at the executive level, including channel partner principals, account executives, and leadership teams.
Ability to deliver sales call activity and lead by example.
Experience managing and enabling team performance related to KPIs such as pipeline growth, partner team alignment, forecast accuracy, and proof of concept management.
Ability to maintain a 4X pipeline to goal.
Significant field travel expected.
Living in or willing to relocate to the Greater Atlanta Metro area.
