Job Description
The Director of NAND Strategy Planning is responsible for developing and executing Pure's long-term flash memory roadmap, analyzing market dynamics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure technological and supply chain competitiveness in the data storage industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and architect Pure's long-term NAND flash memory roadmap.
- Transform market intelligence into sourcing and investment strategies.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, and Executive teams to align product sourcing with roadmaps.
- Evaluate and optimize supplier selection and diversification strategies.
- Design and manage forecasting tools and KPIs to assess pricing and inventory strategies.
- Analyze supply-demand dynamics, technology transitions, and geopolitical risks to guide strategic decision-making.
- Communicate market data and financial models to senior leadership to inform risk mitigation and investments.
Requirements
- Deep Domain Expertise with comprehensive understanding of the NAND flash ecosystem, including supplier economics, semiconductor manufacturing cycles, and memory technology transitions.
- Strategic Financial Acumen with proven ability to build complex market models and investment analyses that drive multi-million dollar business decisions.
- Influence Leadership demonstrated success leading through influence in ambiguous, high-stakes environments and the ability to build consensus across technical and commercial teams.
- Mastery in Executive Communication with the ability to distill complex technical and market concepts into clear, persuasive narratives for C-suite audiences.
- Experience in analyzing supply demand dynamics, technology node transitions, and geopolitical risks to develop enterprise NAND strategy.
- Ability to translate intricate market data and financial modeling into actionable executive briefings, serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on risk mitigation and investment trade-offs.
- Experience partnering with Engineering and Product teams to synchronize NAND sourcing with product roadmaps, ensuring technical specifications meet hyperscale demand and market availability.
- Experience shaping supplier selection and diversification strategies by evaluating global investment plans and manufacturing capabilities to optimize supply continuity.
- Ability to design and own sophisticated forecasting tools and KPIs to assess pricing exposure and inventory strategy, enabling effective market pivots.
- Willingness and ability to work primarily in-office at the OFFICE_LOCATION in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
