The Associate Systems Engineer supports sales and customer success activities by assisting with configuration validation, solution design, technical demonstrations, and ongoing support of data storage solutions, primarily focusing on customer engagement and lifecycle management in a technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support sales activities through configuration validation and data collection
Assist in solution design, including simple configurations and demonstrations
Support customer lifecycle management and product performance solutions
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure customer success
Drive technical account management for seamless implementation and ongoing support
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other technical degree, or equivalent experience.
1-2 years of experience in the technology industry preferred.
Fluency in German or French, with German being ideally preferred.
Strong phone presence and experience in a high-volume customer interaction environment.
Conscientious attitude and dependability, with strengths in teamwork and communication.
Confident, articulate, and professional speaking abilities, and a strong ability to listen.
Ability to collect data, identify problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Experience in preparing and delivering technical product and architecture presentations.
Passion for technology and aptitude to learn new technologies.
Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and proactively, applying a high level of business and technical acumen.
Demonstrated listening, written communication, and product presentation skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects in real-time scenarios.
Willingness to travel domestically overnight 5-10% of the time.
Willingness to relocate upon promotion.
Knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures such as FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN.
Knowledge of VMware, Windows, UNIX OS variants, Linux, AIX, NFS file systems, and network environments (helpful but not mandatory).
