This role involves leading strategic sourcing and supply chain management for critical operational components in a technology company, focusing on cost optimization, supplier development, and cross-functional collaboration to support innovative product development.
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute strategic sourcing plans for assigned commodities using market analysis and cost insights.
Lead supplier negotiations to achieve cost reduction and risk mitigation.
Manage and develop global supplier relationships, overseeing contract compliance and performance.
Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, R&D, Product Management) for material and supplier selection during new product development.
Optimize supply chain operations through ERP systems and procurement platforms for forecasting, contract management, and performance tracking.
Requirements
Define and execute strategic sourcing plans for assigned commodities, utilizing deep market analysis and cost structure insights to secure competitive advantage and meet quality targets.
Drive measurable cost reduction and risk mitigation by leading complex supplier negotiations, analyzing commodity cost drivers, and establishing robust contingency plans against supply disruptions.
Manage and develop strategic global supplier relationships, overseeing contract compliance, performance metrics, and actively driving initiatives for continuous improvement.
Act as the key supply chain partner for Operations, R D, and Product Management, providing critical input for material and supplier selection during New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.
Optimize supply chain operations by leveraging ERP systems and procurement platforms to accurately forecast inventory, manage contracts, and track essential supplier performance KPIs.
Possess deep knowledge of global supply chains, commodity markets, and strategic sourcing methodologies, particularly within technology or complex operational component environments.
Have proven negotiation and supplier management expertise with a track record of driving significant cost savings and continuous improvements in supplier quality and delivery.
Demonstrate strong analytical and financial acumen to assess commodity cost structures, evaluate supply risk, and make data-driven procurement decisions.
Ability to collaborate, influence, and build consensus across diverse internal stakeholders such as Engineering, Finance, and R D to shape and execute long-term supply strategies.
Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and modern procurement tools for accurate forecasting, contract management, and performance tracking.
Work primarily in an in-office environment at the Santa Clara office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
