Job Description

The role involves leading global strategic sales initiatives and managing high-performing teams to drive revenue growth and account success within the data storage industry, with a focus on building executive relationships and executing complex sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the business strategy for global accounts aligned with organizational goals
  • Lead and develop a high-performance sales team to achieve bookings, sales development, and forecast targets
  • Drive operational excellence through data analysis and pipeline management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with product development and customer satisfaction
  • Provide leadership and oversight for strategic initiatives and change management within accounts
  • Achieve revenue and organizational quotas by managing account growth and sales activities
  • Communicate with executive leadership to align business objectives and strategies
  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure long-term account success
  • Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, revenue forecasting, and profitability analysis
  • Act as the primary advocate for clients, ensuring high levels of service and client satisfaction

Requirements

  • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams with at least 5 successful years of global field sales management experience.
  • Experience in defining and executing the overall business strategy for global accounts, aligning with organizational goals and financial targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a high-performance sales culture that delivers results in bookings, sales development, and forecast accuracy, while mentoring and developing team members.
  • Experience driving operational excellence through data-driven analysis, including regular territory pipeline and forecasting activities to refine strategies and close deals effectively.
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams such as Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to align sales strategies with product development and customer satisfaction initiatives.
  • Experience providing leadership, oversight, and change management to extended teams aligned with strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to hold both the team and oneself accountable for achieving challenging goals while anticipating future market trends.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with leaders at all levels, including C-suite executives, to establish open and trusting relationships.
  • Experience identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure the long-term success of global accounts.
  • Financial oversight experience, including budget management, revenue forecasting, and profitability analysis, aligned with organizational financial goals.
  • Experience acting as the primary client advocate within the organization, ensuring client needs are met with the highest level of service.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage accounts to generate revenue and achieve individual, team, and organizational quotas.
  • Advanced skill set and experience working and selling into the financial services industry.
  • Experience managing and closing large revenue streams of at least $100 million, with a proven track record of closing large, high-value deals with Global Enterprise customers.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of Pure Storage’s portfolio with the ability to create holistic business solutions for customers.
  • Ability to create business cases justifying investments, utilizing data and business acumen to demonstrate results and revenue impact.
  • Strong influence and credibility to understand and navigate customer organizations at various levels.
  • Ability to navigate complex global accounts and understand internal dynamics quickly.
  • Proven success in effectively alternating between player and coach roles to drive results.

Annual base salary range of 157,000 - 251,000 USD
