Job Description

The role involves leading strategic sales initiatives and managing global accounts within the financial services industry for Pure Storage, focusing on driving revenue, developing high-performing teams, and building executive relationships to close complex, high-value deals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the business strategy for global accounts within the financial services industry.
  • Lead and develop a high-performance sales team to achieve bookings, sales development, and forecast targets.
  • Drive operational excellence through data analysis and pipeline management to close deals effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with product development and customer satisfaction initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for strategic initiatives and change management within accounts.
  • Communicate with executive leaders to align business objectives and strategies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure the long-term success of global accounts.
  • Oversee financial performance, including budget management, revenue forecasting, and profitability analysis.
  • Advocate for clients to ensure their needs are met and deliver high levels of service.
  • Manage and develop accounts to generate revenue and meet organizational quotas.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams with at least 5 successful years of global field sales management experience.
  • Experience in defining and executing the overall business strategy for global accounts, aligning with organizational goals and financial targets.
  • Experience in developing and managing accounts to generate revenue and achieve individual, team, and organizational quotas.
  • Advanced skill set and experience working and selling into the financial services industry.
  • Experience running large revenue streams of 100 million USD or more, with a proven track record of closing large, single deals with Global Enterprise customers.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of Pure Storage's portfolio with the ability to create holistic business solutions for customers.
  • Ability to create a business case justifying desired investments, utilizing data and business acumen to demonstrate results and revenue impact.
  • Strong influence and credibility to understand and navigate customer organizations at various levels.
  • Ability to navigate and understand the internal dynamics of a global account quickly and effectively.
  • Proven success at effectively alternating between a player and coach to drive results.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with leaders at all levels, including C-suite executives, to establish open and trusting relationships.
  • Ability to oversee and manage financial performance of accounts, including budget management, revenue forecasting, and profitability analysis.
  • Strong leadership skills in team development, inspiring a high-performance sales culture, mentoring team members, and driving results in bookings, sales development, and forecast accuracy.
  • Operational excellence skills through data-driven analysis and regular pipeline and forecasting activities to refine strategies and close deals effectively.
  • Experience working closely with cross-functional teams such as Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to align sales strategies with product development and customer satisfaction initiatives.
  • Leadership in change management, providing oversight and leadership to ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives within extended teams.
  • Ability to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure long-term success of global accounts.
  • Experience in providing leadership, oversight, and change management to extended teams aligned with accounts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with leaders at all levels, including C-suite, to facilitate alignment of business objectives and strategies.
  • Commitment to accountability and goal achievement, maintaining a forward-thinking approach to anticipate future market trends.
