Job Description

This role involves promoting and selling all-flash enterprise storage solutions to financial industry clients in Japan, building strong customer relationships, leading sales efforts, and achieving revenue targets through strategic account management and business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and evangelize all-flash enterprise storage technology and data solutions to FSI customers in Japan
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers to demonstrate value and ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Develop and execute account plans utilizing internal resources to acquire new customers
  • Manage a sales pipeline to meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Lead pursuit teams and coordinate efforts to win new business
  • Understand customer business challenges and propose tailored technology solutions
  • Engage in strategic planning and manage complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders
  • Drive customer success post-sale and foster ongoing customer relationships

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience with a focus on new logo acquisition or business development.
  • Sales experience with the financial industry and deep knowledge of the finance industry.
  • Ability to engage sincerely with FSI customers in Japan, understand their business challenges, and apply customer insights and technology solutions to position Pure's portfolio for problem-solving.
  • Proven prospecting skills with an avid hunter mentality, consistently opening doors to new customers and navigating seamlessly between the boardroom and the data center while passionately positioning the advantages of a Pure Storage solution.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication, with the ability to build and deepen relationships over time.
  • Ability to assess, plan, and actively manage a territory to achieve maximum revenue and efficiency.
  • Experience leading a complex sales process involving multiple stakeholders, fostering teamwork and shared ownership internally and with partners.
  • A consistent track record of exceeding sales quotas and driving referenceable business.
  • Demonstrated passion for post-sales customer success.
  • Moderate level of English reading comprehension sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic account plans to maximize revenue and operational efficiency in the assigned area.
  • Experience managing a healthy and robust sales pipeline to ensure quarterly and annual sales targets are met or exceeded.
  • Strong commitment to understanding customer business challenges and providing tailored solutions using technical knowledge.
  • Ability to lead pursuit teams and coordinate internal resources to win new customers.
  • Willingness to invest in building and maintaining relationships with customers to ensure high customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Physical and mental capacity to perform sales activities that involve engaging with customers across various settings, including data centers and executive offices.
