Job Description

This role involves promoting and selling all-flash enterprise storage solutions to manufacturing and financial industry customers in Japan, building strong customer relationships, leading sales initiatives, and achieving revenue targets through strategic account management and new business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and evangelize all-flash enterprise storage technology and data solutions to manufacturing customers in Japan
  • Build and invest in customer relationships to demonstrate Pure's value proposition and achieve high customer satisfaction
  • Develop and execute account plans utilizing internal resources to acquire new customers
  • Manage a healthy sales pipeline to meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas
  • Lead pursuit teams and coordinate efforts to win new business and expand existing accounts

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience with a focus on new logo acquisition or business development.
  • Sales experience with the financial industry and deep industry knowledge in finance.
  • Ability to apply customer insights and expertise in technology solutions to position Pure s portfolio to solve persistent problems.
  • Proven prospecting skills with an avid hunter mentality, consistently opening doors to new customers and navigating seamlessly between the boardroom and the data center while passionately positioning the advantages of a Pure Storage solution.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communication, able to build relationships easily and deepen them over time.
  • Ability to assess, plan, and actively manage a territory to achieve maximum revenue and efficiency.
  • Experience leading a complex sales process with multiple stakeholders, fostering teamwork and shared ownership internally and with partners.
  • Track record of exceeding quota and driving referenceable business.
  • Passionate about post-sales customer success.
  • Moderate level of English reading comprehension required to perform job-related tasks effectively.
  • Ability to evangelize Pure s radically simple, all-flash enterprise storage technology and data solutions to Manufacturing customers in Japan, ensuring they fully grasp Pure s total value proposition.
  • Build and invest in relationships with customers to establish Pure s value and drive the highest customer satisfaction ratings in the industry.
  • Lead pursuit teams and develop account plans to ensure all internal resources are engaged to execute and win new Pure Customers.
  • Drive and manage a healthy and robust pipeline of sales activity to meet or exceed quarterly and annual quotas.
  • Sincerity and passion for engaging Manufacturing customers in Japan and understanding their business challenges.
  • Insightfulness, creativity, and a Challenger Mindset to leverage technology solutions for customer problem-solving.
  • Strategic planning and execution skills for managing a sales territory to maximize revenue and operational efficiency.
  • Experience leading a complex sales process involving multiple stakeholders and fostering teamwork and collaboration.
  • Ability to build and deepen trust relationships through excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Demonstrated success in consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets and being recognized for business achievements.
  • Ability to contribute to customer success post-contract and maintain long-term customer relationships.
