Job Description
The role involves developing new business and promoting innovative all-flash enterprise storage solutions within Japan's social infrastructure sectors, building strong customer relationships, and leading sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business by working with channel resellers and key customer accounts in Japan's social infrastructure sector.
- Promote and communicate the value of Pure Storage's all-flash enterprise storage technology and data solutions to customers.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to achieve high customer satisfaction.
- Create and execute account plans leveraging internal resources to acquire new customers.
- Manage a sales pipeline to ensure achievement of quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Lead project teams and drive customer engagement through strategic planning and execution.
Requirements
- At least five years of corporate sales experience, primarily focused on new customer acquisition or business development.
- Proven history of consistently exceeding targets and delivering business results strong enough to earn recommendations from customers and partners.
- Experience leading complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.
- Sincerity and passion to engage earnestly with customers primarily in Japan's social infrastructure sectors including electric power, gas, transportation, and construction, and to deeply understand their business challenges.
- Ability to apply insight, creativity, and a challenger mindset to propose solutions to customer challenges by leveraging technical knowledge and Pure's product portfolio across a broad territory.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication abilities, with the capability to build and deepen trusted relationships.
- Strategic planning and execution capabilities aimed at maximizing revenue and improving operational efficiency within the assigned territory.
- Experience managing and developing a healthy and robust sales pipeline to ensure achievement of quarterly and annual targets.
- Ability to develop and execute account plans that fully leverage internal resources, lead project teams, and drive the acquisition of new customers.
- Strong commitment to customer success even after contract execution.
- Ability to communicate effectively from executive leadership to data center operations, and passionately articulate the value of solutions.
- Technical knowledge and industry knowledge in the social infrastructure sectors (electric power, gas, transportation, construction) in Japan.
- Ability to understand and analyze business challenges of customers in Japan’s social infrastructure sectors.
- Ability to read and understand English using translation tools (preferred, not required).
