Job Description
The role involves leading and coaching a Business Development Representative team in Tokyo to generate pipeline and achieve sales targets within the enterprise SaaS space, while developing strategic outreach and prospecting initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coach the Business Development Representative (BDR) team to achieve and exceed targets
- Develop and execute strategies for pipeline generation and lead generation across multiple channels
- Collaborate with marketing to leverage demand generation and field marketing initiatives
- Provide targeted coaching to improve prospecting, outreach, and discovery efforts of team members
- Recruit, onboard, and develop top candidates for the BDR team
- Partner with leadership to support pipeline generation and team performance
- Conduct group training, enablement, and coaching sessions for the team
- Monitor team activities, track KPIs, and provide performance feedback
- Align team efforts with company strategy and understand the Japanese business landscape
Requirements
- Japanese native language proficiency
- Intermediate level English proficiency
- 5 years proven experience in the Business Development Representative (BDR) or Account Executive (AE) function or relevant work experience
- Experience managing a small team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- BA or BS degree, similar college-level education, or equivalent work experience
- Strong understanding of operational processes and best practices
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in CRM software and operations management tools
- Demonstration of leadership in a prior role and the ability to inspire team members
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including high-level communication with internal and external contacts
- Demonstrated passion for learning new things and continuous improvement
- Sharp business acumen to expand business for the Japan market
