The role involves leading and coaching a Business Development Representative team in Tokyo to generate pipeline and achieve sales targets within the enterprise SaaS space, while developing strategic outreach initiatives and fostering team growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coach the Business Development Representative (BDR) team to achieve and exceed targets.
Develop and execute strategies for pipeline generation and lead acquisition.
Collaborate with marketing to leverage demand generation and field marketing initiatives.
Provide targeted coaching on prospecting, outreach, messaging, and discovery techniques.
Recruit, onboard, and develop top talent for the BDR team.
Lead training, enablement, and team meetings to enhance team performance.
Monitor team activities, KPIs, and KPIs, providing feedback and accountability.
Partner with leadership to support pipeline growth and business expansion in Japan.
Requirements
Japanese native language proficiency
Intermediate level English proficiency
5 years proven experience in the Business Development Representative (BDR) or Account Executive (AE) function or relevant work experience
Experience managing a small team
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
BA or BS degree, similar college-level education, or equivalent work experience
Strong understanding of operational processes and best practices
Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in CRM software and operations management tools
Demonstration of leadership in a prior role and the ability to inspire team members
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including high-level communication with internal and external contacts
Demonstrated passion for learning new things and continuous improvement
