The role involves selling enterprise storage solutions to the Canadian federal government, building strategic relationships, navigating procurement processes, and driving complex sales cycles within the Ottawa region.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate strategy and executive relationships with federal accounts
Drive new opportunities and expand existing federal engagements
Navigate federal procurement frameworks and positioning solutions within these channels
Build and maintain relationships with federal stakeholders, system integrators, and partners
Collaborate with sales engineering, leadership, and partners to develop account strategies
Manage and grow a pipeline of federal opportunities to meet sales quotas
Evangelize and promote the company's enterprise storage and data platform solutions to federal customers
Lead pursuit teams to advance complex sales opportunities
Develop strategic account plans leveraging internal resources and partner networks
Operate in secure government environments and maintain security clearance eligibility
Requirements
Proven success selling enterprise technology solutions into the Government of Canada with a track record of consistently delivering 10-15 million CAD in annual revenue.
Deep understanding of federal procurement frameworks and buying vehicles such as PISA and related supply arrangements.
Experience working with key federal organizations such as the Department of National Defence (DND), Shared Services Canada (SSC), and other major federal departments or agencies.
Established relationships across the Ottawa public sector partner ecosystem, including system integrators and federal-focused partners.
Experience operating in controlled or secure government environments, with existing Government of Canada security clearance eligibility or active clearance considered a strong asset.
Ability to develop and execute strategic account plans leveraging internal resources, channel ecosystem, and partner network to win new federal customers.
Experience leading coordinated pursuit teams that include sales engineering, leadership, and strategic partners to drive complex opportunities forward.
Ability to navigate Government of Canada procurement frameworks and acquisition vehicles to position solutions within federal buying processes.
Experience collaborating closely with strategic partners, system integrators, and resellers supporting federal programs and major technology initiatives.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across both executive and technical audiences.
Ability to assess, plan, and actively manage a territory to achieve maximum revenue and efficiency.
Experience leading complex enterprise sales cycles with multiple stakeholders across customer and partner organizations, fostering teamwork and shared ownership.
Demonstrated success in building long-term, referenceable customer relationships.
A minimum of 8 years of enterprise sales experience focused on new logo acquisition or business development.
Ability to prospect and open doors to new opportunities, with a hunter mentality and proven prospecting skills.
Strong understanding of the Government of Canada technology procurement environment and ability to position enterprise solutions through federal procurement channels.
