The Sr. Product Manager for Data Protection is responsible for developing and executing the strategic roadmap for data resilience solutions, focusing on security, backup, and recovery features to ensure data availability and protection against cyber threats in a high-stakes enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
Architect the Data Resilience Roadmap for data protection, security features, automated recovery, and cloud-native integrations.
Drive category-level outcomes by managing the complete product lifecycle, including defining KPIs such as RTO, RPO, and feature adoption.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and engineering teams to develop competitive positioning and enable global field organizations.
Translate evolving cyber threats and compliance requirements into actionable development priorities based on market threat intelligence.
Requirements
Deep technical understanding of backup architecture, enterprise storage, disaster recovery, and data security standards.
Proven experience guiding complex, multi-platform products from initial concept through successful delivery, with the ability to make data-informed trade-offs between speed, scalability, and technical feasibility.
Exceptional communication skills with a track record of driving alignment across Engineering, Product Marketing, and executive stakeholders to champion product vision.
Strong analytical abilities used to evaluate market trends and translate customer workflows into precise, outcome-oriented technical requirements.
Ability to define and execute a technical roadmap for data protection, prioritizing high-impact security features, automated recovery, and cloud-native integrations.
Experience owning the complete product lifecycle from ideation to launch, establishing clear KPIs for recovery time objectives (RTO), recovery point objectives (RPO), and feature adoption.
Experience working closely with Sales, Field Enablement, and Marketing to develop competitive positioning and ensure global field organizations are equipped to position security differentiation.
Location requirement: Must work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
