Job Description
The role involves selling enterprise storage solutions to commercial customers, building strong relationships, leading sales strategies, and exceeding sales targets through consultative and team-based approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Evangelize and demonstrate the value of Pure Storage's all-flash enterprise storage technology to customers
- Build and maintain relationships with customers to ensure high satisfaction and drive sales
- Lead pursuit teams and develop account plans to engage internal resources and secure new customers
- Manage a sales pipeline to meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas
- Apply customer insights and technology expertise to position Pure's solutions effectively
- Identify and prospect new customers to expand the customer base
- Navigate complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders
- Drive post-sales customer success and ensure ongoing customer engagement
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of outside sales experience with a focus on new logo acquisition or business development, consistently delivering 5-10 million USD per year in revenues.
- Experience selling into Commercial customers in the New York City Metro area.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and driving referenceable business.
- Ability to lead a complex sales process with multiple stakeholders, fostering teamwork and shared ownership internally and with partners.
- Strong prospecting skills with a demonstrated ability to open doors to new customers and navigate seamlessly between the boardroom and the data center.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build and deepen customer relationships over time.
- Ability to assess, plan, and actively manage a sales territory to achieve maximum revenue and efficiency.
- Experience building and investing in customer relationships to establish value and drive customer satisfaction.
- Ability to lead pursuit teams and develop account plans to engage internal resources for successful sales execution.
- Experience building and managing a healthy and robust sales pipeline to meet or exceed quarterly and annual quotas.
- Demonstrated thought leadership, creativity, and a Challenger Mindset, with the ability to apply customer insights and technology expertise to position solutions effectively.
- Authenticity and a genuine desire to engage customers and understand their business challenges.
- Expertise in leading a complex sales process with multiple stakeholders, fostering teamwork and shared ownership internally and with partners.
