Job Description

The role involves selling all-flash enterprise storage solutions to commercial customers in the New York City metro area, building strong customer relationships, leading sales strategies, and exceeding revenue targets through team collaboration and prospecting efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evangelize Pure Storage's all-flash enterprise storage technology and data solutions to customers
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers to demonstrate value and ensure high satisfaction
  • Lead pursuit teams and develop account plans to engage internal resources and secure new customers
  • Manage a sales pipeline to meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas
  • Assess customer needs and position solutions to address business challenges
  • Prospect and open new customer accounts through effective outreach and relationship building
  • Lead complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders and foster teamwork
  • Drive post-sales customer success and ensure ongoing satisfaction

Requirements

  • 8 years of outside sales experience with a focus on new logo acquisition or business development, consistently delivering 5-10 million USD per year in revenues
  • Experience selling into Commercial customers in the Long Island, Bronx, and Queens, New York areas, with current residence in or proximity to the New York City Metro area
  • Ability to lead pursuit teams and develop account plans to ensure all internal resources are engaged to execute and win new customers
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quota and driving referenceable business
  • Ability to build and invest in relationships with customers to establish value and drive customer satisfaction ratings in the industry
  • Experience building and managing a healthy and robust sales pipeline to meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas
  • Expertise leading a complex sales process with multiple stakeholders, fostering teamwork and shared ownership internally and with partners
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills, to build and deepen customer relationships over time
  • Ability to assess, plan, and actively manage a sales territory to achieve maximum revenue and efficiency
  • Strong prospecting skills with a proven ability to open doors to new customers and navigate seamlessly between the boardroom and the data center
  • Authenticity and a genuine desire to engage customers and understand their business challenges
  • Thought leadership, creativity, and a Challenger Mindset, with the ability to apply customer insights and technology expertise to position Pure Storage solutions effectively
