Job Description

The Pre-Sales Solutions Architect role involves demonstrating the value of Planet's earth observation data and services to clients in the MENA region, supporting sales efforts, building customer relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to develop tailored solutions for defense and intelligence sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the value of Planet's data and services through presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customer technical and management staff as a trusted advisor.
  • Recommend solutions architecture to address customer business challenges.
  • Assist in responding to tenders, RFIs, and RFPs with product solution information.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to act as the voice of the customer and support sales activities.
  • Achieve sales and operational objectives through customer engagement and account development strategies.
  • Present to government stakeholders within the MENA region and communicate forecasts, pipeline, and customer feedback to sales leadership.
  • Lead customer engagements, workshops, and training sessions to support user adoption and understanding.

Requirements

  • Ability to undergo appropriate security vetting for meeting with regional customers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Six (6) years of experience in supporting the Defense community within the Middle East region.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 50%, primarily around the MENA region, but also to Europe and the United States.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in the Arabic and English languages.
  • Experience working with GIS and Remote Sensing users within the Defense industry.
  • Sales experience in GEOINT, IMINT, ISR, and related fields.
  • Experience with QGIS, SocetGXP, ArcGIS, GDAL, and other common geospatial software packages.
  • Ability to successfully communicate and coordinate with international customers and sales teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive working style.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to program with Python to process imagery, manipulate vector data, interact with APIs, and build data pipelines.
  • Ability to lead customer engagements.
  • Ability to run workshops or training sessions with users.
