Job Description

The role involves leading the development and management of real-time Earth observation data products, focusing on rapid data processing, edge computing, and enabling critical decision-making in high-stakes environments such as emergency response and national security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and management of the Real-Time Insights product lifecycle from concept to launch.
  • Define and drive the product vision for real-time Earth observation data capabilities.
  • Prioritize features such as ship and plane identification, cloud avoidance, and change detection at the edge.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies and pricing models for low-latency data tiers.
  • Collaborate with AI, Space Systems, and Ground Systems teams to optimize pixel-to-insight latency.
  • Gather and prioritize requirements for near real-time use cases in defense, security, and emergency response sectors.
  • Represent the product and market expertise in technical forums and customer briefings.
  • Ensure compliance with export control laws, national security standards, and data privacy regulations.

Requirements

  • Six years of Product Management experience, specifically with a track record of launching complex, technical products.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Understanding of satellite systems, tasking concepts of operations (conops), edge compute, and data processing.
  • Ability to understand and represent the needs of users in mission-critical, near real-time environments such as defense, intelligence, or disaster response.
  • Experience balancing technical trade-offs and customer needs in complex product ecosystems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a knack for explaining complex technical trade-offs to both executive and engineering audiences.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize appropriately.
  • Eligibility for US Export Control licenses ITAR and EAR, as the role involves working with sensitive satellite technologies.
