Job Description
The role involves engaging with academic researchers and institutions to promote the use of Planet's satellite data for research, building strategic relationships, and facilitating programs that increase awareness and adoption of Planet's data within the research community.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with academic research institutions to support their research using Planet's data, products, and services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies for increasing awareness and adoption of Planet's data in academia
- Design and implement programs to incentivize research and connect research outputs to future commercial opportunities
- Engage with the academic research community through online and in-person events to promote growth and engagement
- Gather, synthesize, and communicate feedback from researchers and institutions to improve products and services
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in remote sensing, Earth Environmental Science, or other relevant fields.
- 6 years of experience in a related field.
- Experience managing strategic accounts, including building relationships and collaborating to create and achieve shared goals and plans.
- Comfortable interacting with prospects and customers in online and in-person settings, including through presentations, conference panels, and similar events.
- Ability to develop and manage projects and programs in a systemic and scalable manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, the language of the company.
- Superior problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while prioritizing and managing time effectively.
