Job Description
The Project Developer will support site diligence, permitting, land lease negotiations, and project development efforts for solar and energy storage projects, including managing contractors and engaging with communities to advance renewable energy facilities through various project phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess solar sites for critical issues related to project development
- Support ongoing site development efforts
- Create and secure land lease amendments with landowners
- Prepare and lead project development tasks, including permitting documents
- Manage third-party contractors involved in project development
- Prepare and execute land use permits
- Plan and organize public outreach activities
- Represent the company at land use hearings
- Lead site diligence and permitting for renewable energy facilities and energy storage projects
Requirements
- Experience in site diligence and project development efforts for renewable energy projects, including solar and battery energy storage systems.
- Ability to assess solar sites for critical issues related to project development.
- Experience in creating and securing land lease amendments with landowners for solar development.
- Proficiency in creating permitting documents and supporting project development tasks for assigned projects.
- Experience in managing third-party contractors involved in project development.
- Ability to prepare and execute land use permits.
- Experience in planning and organizing public outreach related to renewable energy projects.
- Ability to represent the company at land use hearings.
- Experience leading site diligence and permitting for renewable energy facilities and other major capital development projects.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and effectively communicate internally and externally to manage many moving pieces involved in solar project development through financial closing.
