Job Description

The Sales Engineer OEM role involves driving sales of Phoenix Contact products by combining technical knowledge with interpersonal skills, building customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and supporting the sales process through outreach, technical support, and collaboration with internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Drive sales of Phoenix Contact products by identifying growth opportunities and building customer relationships
Support the sales pipeline through outreach, follow-up, and technical support throughout the sales process
Develop and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals to customers
Maintain accurate customer and sales activity information in CRM systems and utilize sales tools effectively
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to align efforts and maximize customer satisfaction
Qualify sales opportunities, follow up on quotations, and develop effective account plans
Achieve or exceed sales quotas within assigned territory through regular customer engagement and relationship management

Requirements

Must be able to travel via airplane and automobile for up to six hours at a time, including overnight travel as dictated by the assigned territory.
Must have a valid driver s license.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Must be able to demonstrate technical competence on all products and solutions within the area of focus.
Must have 1 to 3 years minimum sales experience in the electronics or industrial automation controls marketplace.
Experience working with distribution is preferred.
Four-year degree preferred or equivalent technical discipline experience.
Self-motivated with the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
Comfortable conducting regular outreach and check-ins with assigned accounts to maintain engagement and uncover new opportunities.
Must be punctual with regular and on-time attendance.
Must comply with company dress code guidelines.
