Job Description

The Network Sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise on EtherWAN products and solutions, supporting sales and customer engagement through product demonstrations, network design, training, and technical support in various industry verticals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on EtherWAN products, technologies, and applications in assigned markets.
  • Conduct product introductions, communicate value propositions, and assist in network design and audits for customers.
  • Provide technical training and create training materials for internal and external audiences.
  • Support customers and stakeholders through issue resolution, follow-ups, and technical consultations.
  • Collaborate with sales, business development, and partners to generate and grow revenue within the territory.
  • Research industry trends, author technical papers, and maintain knowledge of customer needs and market developments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent in experience
  • 3 years plus of customer facing experience
  • Understanding of differences between IT and OT networking environments
  • Knowledge and understanding of the OSI Network Reference Model, Layer 2 and Layer 3 Switching, Spanning Tree Protocols STP, RSTP, MSTP, TCP IP, and Routing Protocols RIP and OSPF
  • Ability to conduct in person and web based trainings on Networking from beginner to advanced levels
  • Ability to assist in the creation of training material for both in person and online trainings via the EtherWAN Academy
  • Ability to perform network audits and assist customers in their network design and recommend appropriate EtherWAN products
  • Ability to conduct client environment simulation recreating client networks to determine the feasibility of EtherWAN products in customer environment
  • Ability to respond to customer phone calls and emails regarding issues related to EtherWAN products and applications
  • Ability to independently conduct client follow-ups, issues follow-ups, and customer meetings as needed
  • Ability to attend trade shows and industry events as needed
  • Proficiency with CRM, Microsoft Visio, MS Office Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel via airplane for up to 6 hours and via automobile for up to six hours at a time, including overnight travel
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to sit for 4 hours at a time and stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate professional presentation skills on complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work independently and see projects through to completion
  • High level of accountability and planning capabilities, with transparency and integrity in communication

Benefits & Perks

Base salary range of $110,000 - $143,000
Travel requirements including up to 6 hours by airplane and overnight travel
Ability to sit for 4 hours at a time and stand for extended periods
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
