Job Description
The Network Sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise on EtherWAN products and applications, supporting sales and customer engagement through training, network assessments, and technical support to drive revenue and market growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as subject matter expert on EtherWAN products, technologies, and applications in assigned markets
- Conduct product introductions and communicate EtherWAN's value proposition to stakeholders
- Project manage field engagements with sales and business development teams
- Provide technical training and create training materials for in-person and online sessions
- Perform network audits, assist with network design, and recommend EtherWAN products
- Simulate client network environments to assess product feasibility
- Assist stakeholders with product cross-referencing and industry trend analysis
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding EtherWAN products and applications
- Conduct follow-ups, customer meetings, and support for technical issues
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events
- Collaborate to generate new revenue and support existing customer relationships
- Utilize CRM to log support cases, market data, and customer interactions
- Research and author technical and industry papers as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent in experience
- 3 years plus of customer facing experience
- Understanding of differences between IT and OT networking environments
- Knowledge and understanding of the OSI Network Reference Model, Layer 2 and Layer 3 Switching, Spanning Tree Protocols STP, RSTP, MSTP, TCP IP, and Routing Protocols RIP and OSPF
- Ability to travel via airplane for up to 6 hours and via automobile for up to six hours at a time, including overnight travel
- Must have a valid driver s license
- Must be able to sit for 4 hours at a time
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
Benefits & Perks
Base salary range of $110,000 - $143,000
Travel required up to 6 hours by airplane and automobile, including overnight travel
