Job Description
The Network Sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise on EtherWAN products and applications, supporting sales and customer engagement through training, network assessments, and project management to drive revenue and industry adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert on EtherWAN products, technologies, and applications for assigned markets.
- Conduct product introductions, communicate EtherWAN's value proposition, and assist in network design and audits for customers.
- Provide technical training and create training materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support customers and partners through technical support, issue resolution, and follow-ups via phone, email, and meetings.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to generate new revenue and grow existing accounts within the territory.
- Research, author, and share technical and industry papers related to EtherWAN products and applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent in experience
- 3 years plus of customer facing experience
- Understanding of differences between IT and OT networking environments
- Knowledge and understanding of the OSI Network Reference Model, Layer 2 and Layer 3 Switching, Spanning Tree Protocols STP, RSTP, MSTP, TCP IP, and Routing Protocols RIP and OSPF
- Ability to conduct in person and web based trainings on Networking from beginner to advanced levels
- Experience in conducting network audits and assisting customers in their network design and recommending appropriate EtherWAN products
- Ability to recreate client networks to determine the feasibility of EtherWAN products in customer environment
- Experience in assisting internal and external stakeholders with cross referencing third party products to EtherWAN products
- Proficiency with CRM, Microsoft Visio, MS Office Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to travel via airplane for up to 6 hours and via automobile for up to six hours at a time, including overnight travel
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Ability to sit for 4 hours at a time and stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate professional presentation skills on complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to independently conduct client follow-ups, issues follow-ups, and customer meetings
- Ability to respond to customer phone calls and emails regarding issues related to EtherWAN products and applications
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to generate and grow revenue within the assigned territory
- Knowledge of wireless and cellular technology and applications (preferred but not mandatory)
- Technical certifications in networking (such as CCNA or equivalent) are a plus
Benefits & Perks
Base salary range of $110,000 - $143,000
Travel up to 6 hours via airplane and automobile, including overnight travel
Ability to sit for 4 hours at a time and stand for extended periods
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
