Job Description
The Senior Director, People is responsible for leading HR operations, fostering a high-performance, people-centered culture, and advising leadership on employee relations, organizational development, and HR best practices in a fast-growing, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day HR operations to ensure a high-quality employee experience and effective execution of core people processes
- Partner with leaders and managers on employee relations, performance management, learning and development, and organizational effectiveness
- Provide feedback to leadership on people trends, organizational health, and cultural opportunities
- Collaborate with leadership and legal counsel on sensitive employment matters and ensure HR policies are compliant and aligned with company values
- Design and lead manager training and development programs to enhance leadership capabilities and team health
Requirements
- Ten (10) years of experience in HR, ideally in fast-growing startup environments
- Experience with HR operations systems, including ADP Workforce Now, Ubiquity, Google Drive, Health Equity, and Lever
- Proven track record of success at high growth companies
- Experience with HRIS, compensation reviews banding, employee policies, federal and state labor laws, benefits, and compensation
- Ability to serve as a trusted partner to leaders and managers on employee relations, learning and development, performance issues, team dynamics, coaching, and organizational effectiveness
- Experience designing and leading manager training and development programs to improve leadership capability, feedback quality, performance management, and team health
- Experience partnering with outside employment counsel on sensitive or complex legal and employment matters, using sound judgment and a proactive approach
- Ability to ensure HR policies, practices, and documentation are compliant, practical, and aligned with company values
