An IT Support Specialist responsible for providing technical support for various workplace technologies, troubleshooting issues, managing documentation, and supporting the company's IT infrastructure in a startup environment focused on renewable energy and ocean technology.
Key Responsibilities
Provide end-user support for laptops, mobile devices, A V systems, printers, and network issues.
Manage and resolve support requests through ticketing systems like Jira Service Management.
Administer and support corporate productivity tools such as Slack, Google Workspace, Atlassian, and Microsoft Office.
Support employee onboarding and offboarding by provisioning and deprovisioning accounts and devices.
Document support processes and maintain an internal knowledge base.
Manage inventory and storage of technology peripherals and equipment.
Assist in office build-outs and setup of new technology and equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across multiple operating systems and devices.
Support and maintain network and hardware infrastructure, including patching cables and supporting A V equipment.
Contribute to building scalable IT systems and processes, including automation and security frameworks.
Requirements
Candidates should have 2 years of experience in technical support, desktop support, or a related role.
Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux, as well as mobile devices such as Android and iOS.
Comfort with administration and governance of corporate productivity tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Confluence, and Jira.
Skills in supporting A V equipment, printers, and networking basics, e.g., patching cables.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work directly with people to solve problems.
A process-oriented mindset, with attention to detail in documentation and process management.
Ability to be flexible and adaptive in a fast-growing, evolving environment.
This is an on-site role in Portland, Oregon, requiring the candidate to work at the company’s Portland office.
