Job Description
A software engineer responsible for developing, testing, and releasing mobile and web GIS applications, primarily using Esri products, while ensuring product quality and advocating for customer workflows in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and release mobile and web applications such as Field Maps and Navigator
- Assess product quality and readiness for release
- Identify and troubleshoot product issues and limitations
- Advocate for customer workflows in product design and delivery
- Collaborate with product teams to influence development
- Evaluate and provide feedback on new software designs
- Create and present technical content like tutorials, blog articles, and conceptual topics
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience with Esri products such as working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro, Enterprise, and/or Online
- Experience using and deploying Esri Field Apps such as Field Maps, Survey 123, Navigator, and Quick Capture
- Experience applying fundamental concepts in modern software languages, such as Python or JavaScript
- Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Passion and ability to deliver quality work in a timely and efficient manner, in teams or individually
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, computer science, or a related field
