Job Description
The People Operations Specialist at Palmetto supports employee lifecycle processes, enhances team engagement, and fosters a positive workplace culture through HR administration, event planning, and employee relations in an in-office setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support employee onboarding, offboarding, and HR inquiries to ensure smooth employee lifecycle management
- Administer benefits enrollment, leave tracking, and maintain personnel files for compliance
- Coordinate and facilitate employee engagement activities, events, and office culture initiatives
- Manage on-site HR operations, including workspace preparation, equipment collection, and account deactivation
- Assist with internal HR processes, policy communication, and process improvements
- Support internal personnel investigations and escalate sensitive employee matters as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2 years of proven experience in human resources, preferably in small companies with 100-200 employees
- High level of professionalism and discretion, especially when handling sensitive information
- Experience with office equipment and facilities management
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to effectively multitask and prioritize
- Strong judgment ability to act autonomously, take initiative, and know when to escalate
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in planning and executing events, activities, and programs that enhance office community and engagement
- Proven ability to build positive relationships with employees, and championing a culture of trust and transparency
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check
