Job Description
This role involves generating new sales opportunities through outbound and inbound communication, building customer relationships, and promoting Esri's GIS solutions, with a focus on customer success and team collaboration in a sales environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to inbound requests and execute outbound calls and emails to generate new sales.
- Build sales relationships, follow up with prospects, and close business deals.
- Manage and maintain a pipeline of target prospects using phone and electronic communication.
- Proactively listen to customer needs and recommend appropriate Esri solutions.
- Collaborate with sales teams to ensure a strong customer experience and account handoff.
- Develop target lists, call strategies, and messaging in coordination with sales management.
- Learn and understand Esri's products and services to achieve sales goals.
- Leverage CRM tools to create and manage data and activities related to sales efforts.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of sales, consulting, or client facing experience
- Customer oriented with a high level of professionalism
- Possess a desire to learn and succeed in tech sales
- Responsive, friendly, and thoughtful in verbal and written communications
- Able to ask for and implement feedback to improve performance
- Ability to learn new concepts and software programs quickly, retain large amounts of information, and adapt to a changing work environment
- Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, including basic spreadsheet familiarity
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, marketing, geography, GIS, or a related field
