Job Description
The FP&A Manager at Palmetto is responsible for overseeing financial forecasting, analysis, and reporting for the company's tax equity and home improvement fund partnerships, supporting strategic decision-making and growth initiatives within the fast-paced clean tech industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full scope FP&A process for HVAC financing business and tax equity fund partnerships, including annual planning, monthly re-forecasting, and actuals review.
- Own forecasting analysis of P&L and cash flows for multiple partnerships.
- Serve as a strategic partner to finance and capital markets leadership, providing insights for decision making and capital allocation.
- Build financial models for scenario analysis and evaluate unit economics, margins, and growth initiatives.
- Support investor relations and financial reporting for partnerships.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline reporting, improve accuracy, and reduce cycle times.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
- 2-5 years of FP A experience, with demonstrated ownership of forecasts, models, and performance reporting
- 2 years of experience in banking or capital markets with solar industry experience preferred
- Strong financial modeling skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills with deep understanding of the macroeconomic landscape
- Proactively identifies improvement opportunities across systems and processes, and implements solutions and updates them
- Highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced customer-centric environment where priorities may change quickly
- Collaborates seamlessly with internal teams
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present to varying audiences and leaders
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities
