Job Description
The Corporate FP&A Director at Palmetto is responsible for leading financial planning, reporting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making and business growth, while driving process improvements within the finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the financial planning process, including annual budgeting and monthly reforecasts
- Lead monthly management financial reporting, including variance analysis and performance outlooks
- Act as the primary business partner for all corporate functions, managing budgets and spend discussions
- Support investor relations with financial reporting and stakeholder communication
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies in FP&A activities and reporting systems
- Develop and refine forecasts for corporate operating expenses
- Provide insights into business performance to support strategic decision-making
- Interpret key performance indicators and facilitate discussions on investment decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field, MBA preferred
- 8 years of experience, preferably within various Finance or Accounting functions, including at least 3 years in Financial Planning Analysis
- Experience with solar or consumer financing businesses is a plus
- Analytical thinker with enthusiasm for complex problem solving, passion for clean energy and excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong familiarity with corporate finance concepts, financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, KPI tracking and practical knowledge of valuation methodologies
- Proven track record in FP A at larger organizations, and preferably at publicly traded companies
- Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leadership to influence decision making and drive strong outcomes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to present and tailor communications to diverse audiences and convey complex concepts in a manner that is easily understood at all levels
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce error-free documents
