Job Description
The Director of Cybersecurity at Palmetto is responsible for developing and leading the company's information security strategy, safeguarding digital assets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a security-first culture to support the company's growth in the clean tech industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the company's enterprise security strategy and framework
- Build and scale the security function in line with company growth
- Safeguard digital assets, including consumer data and IoT devices
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, and CCPA
- Partner with executives and external stakeholders to enhance security confidence
- Foster a security-first culture through training and proactive defenses
Requirements
- Ten (10) years of progressive experience in information security or cybersecurity leadership.
- Proven ability to design and execute enterprise-wide security programs.
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks and regulatory standards including NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, and CCPA.
- Experience in consumer finance or other highly regulated sectors is preferred.
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly to executives and non-technical audiences.
- Entrepreneurial, high emotional intelligence leader who thrives in fast-growth environments.
