Job Description
The Health and Safety Manager is responsible for leading health and safety initiatives across Octopus Energy Generation's portfolio, ensuring compliance, embedding proactive risk management, and maintaining a culture of safety excellence through oversight of third-party safety advisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead health and safety initiatives across OEGEN's portfolio
- Embed proactive risk management practices
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory safety requirements
- Oversee systems, oversight, and governance related to safety
- Coordinate with third-party safety advisory companies for contractor safety and site-level safety delivery
Requirements
- Proven experience in health and safety management, with the ability to embed proactive risk management practices across a portfolio.
- Experience ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory health and safety requirements.
- Ability to develop, implement, and oversee effective health and safety systems, oversight mechanisms, and governance frameworks.
- Experience working with third-party safety advisory companies to achieve contractor safety and site-level safety delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to strengthen a culture of safety excellence within an organization.
- Availability to work an average of 3 days per week in the office in London.
