Job Description
The Head of Field Operations at Octopus Energy Services is responsible for leading a large team across the North of the UK to ensure the successful installation of low-carbon technologies, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and driving operational performance and continuous improvement in a fast-growing sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage field operations teams responsible for installing low-carbon technologies across the North UK region.
- Ensure the end-to-end delivery of installation projects with a focus on operational excellence, quality, and performance.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance work processes and scale operations sustainably.
Requirements
- Experience and engaging leadership skills to head up field operations across the North of the UK.
- Ability to lead a large, high-performing team responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences through the installation of low carbon technology.
- Proven track record of driving performance, quality, and continuous improvement at scale in a field operations environment.
- Ownership of end-to-end delivery of installations in the region, ensuring operational excellence.
- Ability to identify opportunities to improve operational processes and how work is performed.
- Experience in scaling operations sustainably as demand continues to grow.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail while thinking strategically.
- Experience in managing installation projects involving smart meters, EV chargers, low carbon heating, home batteries, solar, or similar low-carbon technologies (implied by the nature of the role).
