Job Description
The Commercial Manager will lead the development of behind-the-meter clean energy solutions for business customers, focusing on integrating batteries and flexibility to enhance site resilience and support net zero goals within Octopus Energy for Business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of OEB's behind-the-meter clean energy offerings.
- Build and expand OEB's on-site energy solutions, focusing on wind, solar, batteries, and flexibility.
- Collaborate with group companies to integrate on-site renewable energy and storage technologies into OEB's B2B solutions.
Requirements
- Experience in building or leading behind-the-meter energy solutions, including integrating batteries and flexibility into B2B energy offerings.
- Ability to lead the build-out of OEB's on-site energy proposition in collaboration with existing Group companies focused on on-site wind and solar.
- Strong understanding of low carbon technology installation and optimization at business sites.
- Experience working with large business customers to address energy bills, site resilience, and net zero objectives.
- Proven ability to develop and implement clean energy behind-the-meter offerings for business customers.
- Experience in the energy sector, particularly with renewable energy, smart tariffs, or PPA-backed supply models, is desirable but not explicitly mandatory.
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to develop integrated energy solutions.
